Sean Stewart featured as Northern Ireland Under-21s began their European Championship qualifying programme against Luxembourg this afternoon.

The 20-year-old defender, who is on loan at the Reds from Norwich City, emerged from the substitutes bench as a 62nd minute replacement for Larne’s Micheal Glynn at Mourneview Park but was unable to help Tommy Wright’s team turn the tide, with an early strike from James Rodrigues proving enough to earn victory for the visitors.
