Trust restored

Cliftonville have been drawn away to Raith Rovers in the third round of the SPFL Trust Trophy.

The game is scheduled to be played at Stark’s Park in Kirkcaldy on the weekend of September 9/10, with full confirmation of details to follow.

Rovers, whom the Reds have faced in numerous friendlies over the years, won the SPFL Trust Trophy in 2022 and were beaten Finalists in last year’s competition.

After coming seventh in the 2022/23 Scottish Championship table, Ian Murray’s side have started the current campaign with a draw at Partick Thistle and a weekend win over Greenock Morton, and will this Sunday face Hibernian in the second round of the Viaplay Cup having finished second in Group F courtesy of victories over Albion Rovers and Annan Athletic as well as draws with Dunfermline and Kilmarnock.
