Congratulations to Ronan Hale, who has been formally presented with the Premiership Golden Boot by the NI Football Writers’ Association.

Sharing the accolade with Coleraine striker Matthew Shevlin, Hale netted 29 times for Cliftonville last season – a Club record return for a player’s debut campaign with the Reds – and commented: “It feels good. You’re going to do your best all season and obviously me and Matty have shared it.

“Although the campaign didn’t turn out as well as we wanted as a team, we’ll go again next season and it is good to get the personal award.”
