North Belfast unites

On this opening day of Mental Health Awareness Week, Cliftonville Football Club are pleased to draw attention to a forthcoming fundraiser that we are proud to be staging at Solitude.

A team of Cliftonville and Crusaders favourites from yesteryear will join forces for one day only as North Belfast United tackle a Manchester United Legends XI as part of a contest organised by our Official Charity Partner, TAMHI.

The ‘Match for Mental Health’, which will take place on Saturday, June 24, will see the likes of ex-Reds stars Barry Johnston, George McMullan, Marty Tabb, Ryan Catney, Declan O’Hara and Mark O’Neill don the boots against a United side including Jaap Stam, Lee Sharpe, Keith Gillespie, Sammy McIlroy, Karel Poborsky, Brian McClair, Paul Parker and Wes Brown.

After going toe-to-toe with the North Belfast Derby combined XI, the Old Trafford heroes will then take on two other teams involving members of the TAMHI community, with a few famous faces poised to add their own star quality to the occasion.

Tickets for the match – which kicks off at 2pm – are available to buy online, with all proceeds going directly to TAMHI.
