Volley good show

Ronan Hale’s acrobatic strike in last week’s victory over Newry City has been voted Cliftonville’s Goal of the Month for March.

After latching on to a flick from Ryan Curran, Hale controlled the ball on his chest before dispatching a smart half-volley into the far corner to break the deadlock at The Showgrounds, where his celebrations were momentarily delayed after he mistakenly believed that referee Tim Marshall had awarded a free-kick against him!

His finish – which you can check out along with last month’s other nominees below – will now automatically be shortlisted for Cliftonville’s Goal of the Season at the end of the 2022/23 campaign.
