Newry ticket sales

Cliftonville supporters will require tickets for Saturday’s Danske Bank Premiership fixture with Newry City at The Showgrounds.

Following disappointing behaviour by persons purporting to be Cliftonville fans last week, the Club must again restrict sales to Members and Season Ticket holders only.

The Club will not tolerate behaviour that not only brings us into disrepute, but also has a significant financial impact on us. As well as facing a ban from Reds matches, those who do so also risk further action from the relevant authorities, with whom the Club continue to fully cooperate in their investigations into last week’s events.

It is regrettable that the actions of a minority will once again have a knock-on effect for the dedicated fans who travel many miles to support the team home and away every week, and whose conduct is never anything other than exemplary.

Not being a Member or Season Ticket holder does not make you any less of a supporter and it is most unpalatable that such people, who range from youngsters enjoying their maiden years as Cliftonville fans right through to seasoned veterans of the Red Army, will now miss a match through absolutely no fault of their own.

While we naturally do not expect those supporters to be happy with arrangements pertaining to this weekend’s fixture, we hope they understand the position our Football Club has again been left in by persons who have repeatedly demonstrated that they do not care about the consequences their actions have on others.

Tickets for Saturday’s game will be on sale to Members and Season Ticket holders in the Social Club from 7-8pm on Thursday and Friday.

Members will be able to purchase two tickets; Season Ticket holders can buy one ticket equivalent to their category, subject to availability, with Family Season Ticket holders able to purchase a maximum of three.

Unfortunately, there will be no General Sale of tickets, nor will tickets be available from Newry City AFC, while cash admission will not be possible at The Showgrounds.
