Cliftonville Football Club offers congratulations to Solitude pressbox regular James Martin following the success of ‘An Irish Goodbye’ at last night’s Oscars ceremony in Los Angeles.

The production – in which James, son of respected Irish League journalist Ivan Martin, plays Lorcan – won Best Live Action Short Film at the 95th Academy Awards to add to its Best Short Film accolade at last month’s BAFTAs.

Though it may not necessarily compete with being serenaded by Hollywood’s leading lights on his 31st birthday, all at Cliftonville look forward to rolling out the red carpet to James on his next visit to Solitude.
