Morgan’s a school customer

Michael Morgan was on target for Northern Ireland Under-18 Schoolboys in this afternoon’s friendly with Australia at Blanchflower Stadium.

The Cliftonville striker, currently on loan at Lough 41 Championship side Newington, opened the scoring after 15 minutes only for the away side to battle back with a Noah Maieroni double either side of Will Freney’s smart finish.

As well as Morgan – who captained the side for the occasion – the Reds were also represented by Logan Wallace in the starting XI, while Josh Ness was introduced from the bench for Northern Ireland, whose preparations for the Centenary Shield will continue when they face Jersey in back-to-back friendlies next month.
