Cliftonville’s Foyle Cup Champions were given an heroic reception at Solitude this weekend.

Our Under-14 side, who lifted the silverware last month after a run that saw them score 41 goals and concede just one throughout the competition, paraded their trophy to Reds fans at half-time of Saturday’s friendly victory over Warrenpoint Town.

The Wee Reds’ schedule commenced with a victory over Don Boscos Colts before overcoming Ardstraw.

Sion Swifts were then beaten before wins were registered against Draperstown Celtic and Derry City ahead of the Cup being lifted courtesy of a triumph against Tristar in last week’s decider at The Brandywell.

As well as hailing the efforts of the players and their coaches, Cliftonville Football Club extends words of congratulations and appreciation to the team’s proud parents for their own contributions to this latest Academy success story.
