Coleraine 1-2 Cliftonville

First-half goals from Ryan Curran and Joe Gormley saw Cliftonville overcome Coleraine and pocket their first win of the Danske Bank Premiership’s post-split schedule.

Following 0-0 draws with both Linfield and Larne, the Reds reported to The Showgrounds determined to return to winning ways and were on course from the moment Curran converted from the penalty spot following a foul on Jamie McDonagh.

Gormley showed composure in front of goal to double the visitors’ advantage from an inch-perfect Rory Hale pass before the break and, though the Bannsiders – who had Jamie Glackin sent off for dissent towards referee Jamie Robinson – would pull one back through substitute Eoin Bradley in the closing stages, the Reds were untroubled for the remainder of the match as they held on for the points their performance merited.
