Keeping a Luke in

Cliftonville Football Club are very pleased to announce the extension of Luke McNicholas’ loan from Sligo Rovers.

Originally signed until this month, agreement has been reached with the 22-year-old goalkeeper’s parent Club for McNicholas – who has earned call-ups to the Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad during his time at Solitude – to stay on until the end of the season.

The young stopper has conceded just eight goals in 14 appearances so far this term, with yesterday’s shut-out against Islandmagee being the eighth clean sheet the Mayo man has recorded since making his debut in September.
