The month ahead: January

Today’s Danske Bank Premiership trip to Glenavon marks the first of seven Cliftonville fixtures across two competitions in January.

Following the rearranged North Belfast Derby with Crusaders on Tuesday, next weekend sees Islandmagee visit for a Samuel Gelston’s Whiskey Irish Cup first round tie that represents the Reds’ final Saturday outing of the month.

Glentoran then visit Solitude on Monday, January 17 ahead of Paddy McLaughlin taking his side to Larne on the 21st.

A midweek contest with Linfield on the 25th completes Cliftonville’s home engagements prior to the month being rounded off by a Showgrounds encounter against Ballymena United on the 28th – so be sure to add all of those dates to your diary as the Reds bid to start the New Year strongly.
