Cliftonville will face Islandmagee in the first round of the Samuel Gelston’s Whiskey Irish Cup.

This afternoon’s draw paired the Reds with the NAFL Premier Division side in a game scheduled to be played at Solitude on Saturday, January 8.

The Wilbourne Park outfit have come through four qualifying rounds to reach this stage of the Irish Cup for the first time in a decade, seeing off Suffolk (4-0), Ballynure Old Boys (5-3), Drumaness Mills (1-1; 3-0 on penalties) and Kilmore Rec (1-1; 5-4 on penalties) to set up next month’s encounter with the only Club to have featured in all 142 seasons of the competition’s existence.
