Some points of order

Regular readers of our Matchday Magazine will know all the facts and figures behind each new week at Cliftonville Football Club, while our Twitter followers are regaled with daily delves into the archives and, as Heritage Development Officer Paul Treanor notes, Saturday’s victory over Warrenpoint Town was the 70th time the Reds have won a match by a 4-2 scoreline.

As well as being the Club’s 375th away League win, the game also saw Levi Ives score Cliftonville’s 4300th League goal.

Ryan Curran’s double saw Warrenpoint become the first opponents he has scored against 10 times for the Reds and lifted him level with Stephen Garrett on 41 Premiership goals for the Club.

Curran’s first strike was Cliftonville’s 650th away goal in the Premiership, while his second saw him climb above Davy McDaid in the scoring charts to 53 in all competitions – just one behind 1970s favourite John Peacock, who was in attendance at Milltown.

Daniel Kearns, meanwhile, put the seal on things when he made it 4-2 with what was the Reds’ 1400th Premier League goal.
