Shamrock and roll

Regular readers of our Matchday Magazine will know all the facts and figures behind each new week at Cliftonville Football Club, while our Twitter followers are regaled with daily delves into the archives and, as Heritage Development Officer Paul Treanor notes, last night’s victory over Portadown extended a decade-long run without defeat at Shamrock Park.

The Reds’ last reverse at the venue came 14 matches ago in February 2011, with this most recent success being the 1760th win in the Club’s history.

In what was Cliftonville’s 150th away game with the Ports, Daniel Kearns’ extra-time winner was the Reds’ 200th strike at Shamrock Park and maintained Paddy McLaughlin’s goal difference as Manager at +100 – set courtesy of Saturday’s 3-0 triumph over Dungannon Swifts.
