Duo’s Under-21 call

Cliftonville strikers Paul O’Neill and Calvin McCurry have been named in the Northern Ireland Under-21 squad for the upcoming European Championship qualifiers with Lithuania and Malta.

O’Neill (pictured) has scored three goals in eight previous international appearances at Under-21 level, while McCurry is called up for the first time amid an impressive loan spell with Ards in the Lough 41 Championship.

Everyone at Solitude wishes the duo well for the games, which see John Schofield’s side face Lithuania at The Ballymena Showgrounds next Friday ahead of a Mourneview Park date with Malta on November 16.
