It’s been five weeks since we launched our new home strip, with Cliftonville supporters around the world eagerly snapping up replica jerseys as the countdown to the 2021/22 season continues.

We unveiled our kit with an eye-catching video on Instagram last month and can today provide fans with an exclusive look behind the scenes as the footage was put together.

Having enjoyed a successful test run 24 hours earlier, the day of the shoot was spent praying that unexpected heavy winds and sporadic showers – both of which threatened the stability of our drone camera at height – would subside in time for the scheduled record.

With Solitude cleared, gates locked and Social Club windows closed to ensure prying eyes didn’t get an early sneak peak at the strip, it was time for Rory Hale, Aaron Donnelly and Paul O’Neill to take centre stage.

Following photoshoots in the Media Room, home changing area and McAlery Stand, the trio were positioned in the tunnel and primed to march out in tandem with the drone completing its tour of the stadium, providing viewers with their first glimpse of the Reds’ new ensemble.

After a season that saw attendances restricted or supporters prohibited from attending Solitude entirely, we can’t wait to welcome the Red Army home again for the 2021/22 campaign – and we’ll be bedecked in our eye-catching new strip when we do.

Featuring the return of white sleeves following a decade’s absence and incorporating similarly-coloured diagonal flashes throughout, the round-necked jerseys are complemented by red shorts with white inside-leg panels and red socks sporting a single narrow hoop and ‘CFC’ monogram.
