Cliftonville’s Danske Bank Premiership programme concluded with a 2-0 defeat at home to Linfield this evening.

Manager Paddy McLaughlin made a raft of changes to his starting XI, handing welcome starts to youngsters Declan Dunne, Odhran Casey and Stephen McGuinness, while Joe Gormley made his return as a second-half substitute after almost five months out with injury.

Christy Manzinga put the Blues in front just before the break when he converted the rebound after Dunne had saved an effort from Andy Waterworth, who would complete the scoring with a well-taken finish late on.
