The state of play

The conclusion of the Sadler’s Peaky Blinder Irish Cup has provided further clarity on the make-up of the Danske Bank Premiership’s forthcoming European Play-Offs.

Provisionally scheduled for June 4 and 7, the end-of-season competition will see Cliftonville join three other sides in the battle for the last remaining UEFA Europa Conference League berth.

The Reds and Crusaders are the only two confirmed participants in the Play-Offs, with the other two positions set to be taken by one of Glentoran or Larne and either Ballymena United or Glenavon.

The team that finishes fourth in the Premiership will have home advantage over the team in seventh in the first semi-final, while fifth will host sixth and, as ever, cliftonvillefc.net will endeavour to keep our supporters updated on all developments during next week’s closing rounds of League action.

Play-Off semi-finals are provisionally scheduled for Friday, June 4 but they – like the Final on Monday, June 7 – remain subject to change by the NI Football League.
