Seven games played, with five wins, one draw and 22 goals scored – but who do you think was Cliftonville’s star man in April?
After a 5-0 victory at Warrenpoint Town that saw Michael McCrudden bank a hat-trick alongside strikes from Ryan Curran and Daire O’Connor, the Reds enjoyed a 3-0 win over Dungannon Swifts thanks to two McCrudden efforts either side of Ryan O’Reilly’s first goal for the Club.
Curran and McCrudden were on the scoresheet in a 2-2 draw with Crusaders at Seaview before a Curran brace earned full points against Portadown.
While the team were frustrated to slip to a home reverse at the hands of Glentoran, they responded in style with two five-star wins; McCrudden sealing another treble against Carrick Rangers on a day when Garry Breen and Barry Coffey joined him on the scoresheet, while Breen, O’Connor (2), Curran and Daniel Kearns all found the net in last night’s Sadler’s Peaky Blinder Irish Cup defeat of Portstewart.
