Scannell suffers injury

Best wishes for a speedy recovery are extended to Conor Scannell.

The 17-year-old suffered a broken arm while training at Solitude this week, with Manager Paddy McLaughlin confirming the youngster as the latest addition to the Club’s casualty ward.

“Unfortunately, young Conor Scannell has broken a bone in his arm in Tuesday night’s training session,” he explained.

“It’s another name to the list of long-term injuries that we already have – the likes of Joe (Gormley), Levi (Ives) – key players that we’ve lost for a long time; Calvin (McCurry) and Rocksy (Donal Rocks) as well.

“The injury record has been horrendous for us this year and it’s all long-term injuries.”

Everybody at Cliftonville naturally hopes to see see Conor recuperate fully as soon as possible and we wish him well in his battle back to fitness.
