Condolences

It was with deep sadness that Cliftonville Football Club this week learned of the death of Life Member Davy McDowell, whose funeral service took place at St Therese of Lisieux Church this morning.

A familiar face at Solitude for many decades, Davy was a regular in the Main Stand before more recently assuming residence as an Understander, where he would ensure that Reds and opposition players alike were kept entertained by his distinctive matchday observations.

Everyone at Solitude extends sympathy to Davy’s wife, Lisa, and children Claire, Christopher and Niall, as well as the McDowell circle of family and friends at this difficult time. May he rest in peace.
