Cliftonville 0-2 Coleraine

Cliftonville slumped to another defeat as Coleraine emerged with all three points from this evening’s Danske Bank Premiership encounter at Solitude.

Despite surrendering long spells of possession, the Reds carved out the first-half’s best scoring opportunities and should have taken a 48th minute lead when Ryan Curran’s header was somehow clawed out by visiting goalkeeper Gareth Deane.

That save would prove crucial because, just minutes later, substitute James McLaughlin nodded the Bannsiders in front just 14 seconds after emerging from the bench and the same player would put the seal on things when he seized on a defensive error in the closing stages.
