A Ryan start

Ryan O’Reilly is relishing the challenges provided by each new game with Cliftonville and is looking forward to building on an encouraging start to life at the Club.

Ahead of tonight’s Danske Bank Premiership encounter with Ballymena United at Solitude, the 25-year-old – who made the move from Ballinamallard United in the summer – says: “Everyone has been great to me and welcomed me with open arms.

“I’ve felt I’ve done well so far. It took me a full pre-season to get going and get my fitness levels up because I hadn’t trained in six months before I came here with everything going on.

“I think I’ve started well and I’m happy with how things have been going. Hopefully I can push on and see what I can do for the team.”

You can read the full O’Reilly interview in this evening’s digital edition of our Matchday Magazine, which will be available here on cliftonvillefc.net from approximately 6pm.

Featuring pre-match views from the Manager’s Office, The Red Eye’s seventh issue of the campaign carries all the stats behind the Reds’ history with Ballymena and a look at the Sky Blues’ recent form – plus plenty more besides.
