The small print

Since competitive football made its return to Solitude on October 10, Cliftonville Football Club have been effusive in our praise and gratitude for the many volunteers whose assistance has made recent home games possible.

That County Antrim Shield first round defeat of Knockbreda commenced a run of six home games in just four weeks, with supporters and Club alike joining forces to make our fans’ matchday routine as enjoyable as possible amid ongoing Covid-19 restrictions.

A key element of that experience has been our ability to provide a Matchday Magazine for each game. While the complimentary issues of The Red Eye handed out at Solitude are scaled down versions of the digital productions available online, they nevertheless provide a welcome addition to any programme collectors’ archive and it has only been with the assistance of supporters that we have been in a position to provide them.

To date, Paul Treanor, Billy Hosie, Peter Sammut and Paul McKeown have all supplied sponsorship of our printed editions and, with work on next Tuesday night’s issue already under way, we take this opportunity on behalf of their fellow fans to thank them for their generosity.
