Club Statement

Cliftonville Football Club have taken note of the information supplied to us by various bodies and departments in regards to allowing spectators to attend this afternoon’s Danske Bank Premiership fixture with Glentoran.

We are very conscious of, and take seriously, our role in providing a safe environment for players and spectators alike and have been doing so throughout recent fixtures at Solitude. We, like all involved in providing directives and guidance, take the situation regarding the ongoing pandemic very seriously. Ultimately, we all have the same aim and that is to see this virus eliminated while protecting our community and a return to all sporting activities with spectators present.

The Club has considered these factors and has, in addition, carried out a review of all the circumstances of this specific game. In light of there being no ‘Away’ supporters and spectators not travelling long distances, we will, in line with Public Health measures, be admitting a limited and strictly controlled number of spectators to our match today.

As with our previous fixtures played this season, this afternoon’s game is an all-ticket affair, thus enabling compliance with the requirement to have track and trace ability. Strict entry procedures are in place with temperature checking and sanitisation. All spectators will be seated in specifically marked and designated seats either as individuals or within their ‘social bubble’. Spectators will also be required to follow one-way systems and other measures that we have published previously.

We will continue to have further consultations with all parties and remain conscious of all Public Health advice and directives in regards to spectators at future fixtures. We will make our decisions on a game-by-game basis.

We understand that all Government Ministers and Departments are operating in very challenging times. We want to thank them for their dedication and hard work and look forward to continuing to work with them.

Club Members and Life Members
If you are a Member or Life Member of Cliftonville Football Club, you do not need to buy or download a separate match ticket for this fixture.

You will, however, be required to present your Members Ticket at the point of entry to gain admission. You can download or print this in QR code form by accessing My Account > My Tickets on our online portal and clicking ‘Email Ticket’; this will send to your registered email account and you are advised to check your Junk Mail if it does not appear in your Inbox.

Please do not simply take a picture of your QR code as this may lead to distortion which can cause difficulties with our scanning devices and entry may be refused.

Whichever method you opt to present your ticket in, please have this ready as you approach the entrance of the stand you have elected to sit in to assist with prompt admission and to reduce queuing times for your fellow fans.

With new health and safety protocols in place at Solitude, you are kindly requested to arrive at the ground in good time for kick-off and your cooperation, patience and understanding is appreciated as Club and supporters work together to ensure as smooth a process as possible.
