Sweet 16
It has been a thorough process to get this far but now, at last, our Away Kit Battle has reached its knockout stage.
There are no more second chances for any defeated jerseys, with each winner progressing to the next round until an overall favourite is determined.
Our first Round-of-16 encounter pits two trophy-winning ensembles against one another, with the Yellow & Blue efforts sported in the 2003/04 season – and which saw Cliftonville lift the CIS Insurance Cup – tackling the Green & White combo in which the team won back-to-back Premiership titles and kicked off the four-in-a-row era of League Cup triumphs.
We want supporters young and old to play their part in helping us compile a definitive of list of the Red Army’s favourites and, even if your chosen kit doesn’t make progress to the Quarter-Finals, every vote will help determine precisely where it ends up in our overall rankings between 1990 and 2020.
Our poll closes at noon on Monday, so you’ve got the whole weekend to make a considered decision before clicking the button.
Yellow & Blue
Supplier: O’Neills
Sponsor: MDS Pharma Services
Worn: 2003/04
Notes: A straightforward Yellow Shirt & Blue Shorts combination, this strip was sported during a campaign that saw Cliftonville lift the CIS Insurance Cup before ultimately securing their Premier League status courtesy of a Promotion/ Relegation Play-Off victory over Armagh City.
Green & White
Supplier: Puma
Sponsor: fonaCAB/ Sean Graham
Worn: 2011/12, 2012/13, 2013/14
Notes: After an opening season with the fonaCAB logo emblazoned across its chest, this shirt was updated to reflect the Club’s new sponsorship agreement with Sean Graham and was sported for both of the back-to-back Premiership title successes in 2013 and 2014, the latter of which was clinched with a victory in the strip.
