Cliftonville FC are very pleased to announce that Thomas Maguire has agreed a contract extension with the Club.

The 20-year-old, who was previously with the Rotherham United Academy, has scored four goals in 52 appearances since making his debut in a 2-1 victory over Glentoran on August 4, 2018.

He netted his first Reds strike in the New Year’s Day defeat of Glenavon just over four months ago and, of course, registered the all-important injury-time equaliser that set the stage for the team’s remarkable County Antrim Shield Final win against Ballymena United a few weeks later.

“We’re very happy to be extending Thomas’ stay at Solitude,” said Cliftonville Chairman Gerard Lawlor.

“He’s an up-and-coming young player who has worked very hard on his game since arriving at the Club and I’m sure our supporters are looking forward to seeing him kick on in a Red shirt.”
