Cliftonville Football Club were deeply saddened to this weekend learn of the death of Club Member, longtime fan and dear friend Michael Hearty.
A familiar face at Solitude for many decades, Michael offered his services in a variety of roles over the years and Chairman Gerard Lawlor paid tribute to a stalwart of the Red Army, who retains strong family links with the Club.
“I was very saddened to receive the news of Michael’s passing,” he said.
“Michael exemplified everything good about our Club. A true gentleman, devoted father and follower of the Reds, whenever a volunteer was required, there weren’t many in the queue ahead of Michael Hearty.
“To his daughters, Jan-Marie and Therese, and the entire Hearty family, I offer sincere sympathy and condolences both personally and on behalf of Cliftonville Football Club.”
