Friendly reminder

With Cliftonville’s European commitments having come to a conclusion with last night’s defeat to Haugesund, focus now switches to domestic issues and the countdown to the new Danske Bank Premiership season.

The Reds begin the campaign with a trip to tackle Coleraine on Saturday, August 10, but before that come a series of warm-up fixtures – which, following the cancellation of Tuesday’s proposed fixture with Ballinamallard United, commence next Saturday when two Cliftonville XIs will be in action at different locations.

Rathmore Grammar School will play host to the Reds’ participation in Aquinas FC’s 50th anniversary celebrations while, at the Mid-Ulster Sports Arena, another line-up will take on Cookstown Youth.

Crumlin United will then welcome Paddy McLaughlin’s side to Mill Road on Tuesday, July 30 ahead of Cliftonville returning home for their final friendly against Newington on Saturday, August 3.

Supporters are advised that the potential remains for an addditional friendly to be slotted into the schedule, details of which will be communicated via our Official Website and social media streams if and when confirmation is received.
