Contract thriller

Commencing pre-season player business, Cliftonville Football Club are this evening delighted to announce that Ryan Curran has agreed a new long-term deal at Solitude.

The 25-year-old, who joined from Ballinamallard United in May of last year, scored 16 goals in his first season with the Reds and played a key role as Paddy McLaughlin’s side secured European qualification; netting a crucial injury-time penalty in the Play-Off Semi Final victory over Coleraine.

The Club can, in addition, confirm that Ross Lavery and Damien McNulty have been made available for transfer, while we offer sincere best wishes to Brian Neeson and Ruairi Harkin, both of whom will be moving on and are thanked for their services to Cliftonville.

With work well underway to strengthen the squad, related announcements – as well as any further player movement – will be communicated in due course.
