Dunne Mex a winning start
Cliftonville’s Declan Dunne made his Northern Ireland Under 21 debut in yesterday’s friendly victory over Mexico Under 22s in Spain.
The Reds goalkeeper – who is spending this season on loan at Bluefin Sport Championship promotion-chasers Portadown – started the game at Stadio Municipal de Marbella, where Ian Baraclough’s side fell behind to a 16th minute strike from Pablo Lopez.
David Parkhouse drew Northern Ireland level just before the hour mark ahead of Shayne Lavery’s late winner against a Mexican outfit that finished the contest with nine men.
All at Cliftonville extend our congratulations to keeper Dunne on making a winning start to his Under 21 career and look forward to him enjoying further recognition on the international stage.
