Cliftonville Chairman Gerard Lawlor has this evening issued a further update to supporters on the subject of the Club’s forthcoming appointment of a new Manager.
Speaking after today’s Danske Bank Premiership draw with Glenavon at Solitude, he explained: “The deadline for applications has now closed and the Board will now be moving on to the next stage of the process.
“We are very happy with the quality and quantity of applications from across Ireland and beyond for what is evidently a much-coveted position and, in the coming week, we will draw up a shortlist from those applications before assessing and discussing our options ahead of the successful candidate’s appointment.
“In the interim, we will continue to work with the current staff regarding the refreshment of the playing squad and remain open to discussions about potential player movement in the coming days.
“The Club thanks everyone who has expressed an interest in the role and would ask our fans for their continued support as we identify the Manager whom we believe can help Cliftonville FC realise its true potential.”
