Get fixed up again

As a new week commences and the countdown begins to Cliftonville’s return to Danske Bank Premiership action, supporters are reminded of some recent amendments to the Reds’ forthcoming schedule.

The Premiership fixture with Glenavon, which had been originally scheduled for Saturday but was postponed due to international call-ups, was initially rearranged for Tuesday, November 20 – but has subsequently been put back again.

That is due to a clash with Cliftonville’s League Cup Quarter Final against Dungannon Swifts – a game which was provisionally pencilled in for November 13, but which had to be reallocated because of the Reds’ November 12 Premiership encounter with Newry City, which itself has been changed from November 10 to accommodate a live broadcast by Sky Sports.

The outstanding Mourneview Park tie with Glenavon has not yet been rearranged and, though information on that fixture will be communicated as soon as possible, all fans are asked to ensure their own diaries are fully up-to-date, while those who downloaded the Club’s fixture calendar should find that their devices have been automatically updated.

Supporters are, meanwhile, reminded that Cliftonville Olympic’s Match Intermediate Cup First Round game with Tullycarnet will be played at Solitude on Friday evening (7.45pm) to avoid a clash with the senior team’s Premiership battle with Warrenpoint Town on Saturday but, prior to that, Declan O’Hara’s side host Glenavon Reserves tonight (7.45pm).

The Lurgan Blues also provide the opposition when Cliftonville Strollers bid to extend their lead at the top of the Under 18 Academy League on Friday (6.30pm) and cliftonvillefc.net will, naturally, provide full details of all games throughout the week ahead.
