Freddie Jardine’s funeral arrangements

The funeral of our beloved Freddie Jardine will take place at 1.30pm this Thursday, March 8.

Our long-serving physio – who took up his role in the 1950s, having originally joined Cliftonville Strollers as a player in 1945 – passed away in the early hours of Friday morning but will forever remain synonymous with Ireland’s Oldest Football Club, whose Physiotherapy Suite was named in his honour in 2010.

His funeral service will be held at Belmont Presbyterian Church followed by a private family committal at Roselawn Crematorium.

Freddie’s family have requested that only family flowers are present but have advised that donations can be made in lieu to the Cliftonville Football Development Centre, c/o Kirkwoods Funeral Directors, 150a Kings Road, Belfast, BT5 7EJ.
