Club Statement: True North
Cliftonville Football Club welcome the statement made today by Crusaders FC in relation to the recent BBC ‘True North’ documentary broadcast on Monday, October 23.
Cliftonville FC were most disappointed by some of the material and statements contained in the programme, including the context of its use, which slurred both our Club and our supporters. We understand that such was not necessarily under the direct control of Crusaders FC, but rather that of the BBC in their editorial decision making.
Nonetheless, we thank Crusaders for their statement and look forward to the continuing good relations between the two Clubs.
Cliftonville Football Club wish to assure all at our Club and our supporters that we will not stand by and allow others to make unfounded allegations that denigrate our Club and will seek redress should it be deemed necessary.
