Crest of a wave

Cliftonville Football Club were delighted to welcome Cresta Sport Travel and their special guests to Solitude for Monday night’s Danske Bank Premiership fixture with Linfield.

Our Official Travel Partners lived up to their reputation by successfully making it to Belfast in spite of the storms that ravaged the city during the day – and one supporter who was particularly pleased they did so is Raymond Megahey.

The long-serving fan was granted VIP status for the occasion courtesy of the firm’s competition to identify a member of the Red Army who deserved the perks of a hospitality reward.

Raymond received a host of nominations from his fellow supporters, who voted for him and guests of his choosing to enjoy a pre-match tour of the facilities at Solitude, photo opportunities and a visit to meet the players prior to the game before watching the action from the comfort of the Directors Box.

The occasion also carried an acknowledgement for runner-up Jude Meighan, a young fan who was presented with a prize to reflect the support he received when nominations were welcomed at the end of November.

Our congratulations are extended to Raymond and Jude, while the thanks of everyone at the Club go to Sharon Hill and the team at Cresta Sport Travel for their continued and much appreciated hard work and assistance.
