Top notch

Cliftonville Olympic climbed to the top of the Premiership Development League with a 3-0 victory over Dungannon Swifts Reserves at Solitude this evening.

Ciaran McCurry, Aaron Donnelly and Donal Rocks all found the net as Brendan Lynch’s side preserved what is now the division’s only remaining unbeaten run.

Amid a bright start, the Reds saw a host of opportunities come and go before McCurry broke the deadlock just before the break, dispossessing a Dungannon defender inside the box and confidently slotting past the goalkeeper.

Maintaining the pace after the interval, the Olympic doubled their advantage courtesy of an inch-perfect free-kick from Donnelly ahead of Rocks (pictured) wrapping things up when he got on the end of Peter McKiernan’s set-piece delivery.
