Gormley rocks the vote

The accolades keep coming for Joe Gormley, who is today named Cliftonville Football Club’s Sean Graham Player of the Month for September.

In an online poll conducted among Reds fans, ‘The Goal’ – who scored six times in six appearances during the month – raked in an impressive 53% of the hundreds of votes cast to secure the honour, just days after the NI Football Writers’ Association selected him as their own star man.

After scoring twice in a 3-0 victory over Institute, Gormley was also on target when the Reds slipped up at Warrenpoint Town and added a double against Lisburn Distillery before finding the net from the penalty spot against Ballymena United ahead of a late brace to help sink Ards.

In addition to congratulating Joe on landing his second Sean Graham accolade of the season, the Club also places on record our thanks to the many supporters who took the time to get involved and we look forward to similar engagement when it’s time to determine the October’s star performer in a few weeks’ time.
