Cliftonville 2-1 Dungannon Swifts

Goals from Garry Breen and Joe Gormley helped Cliftonville to three deserved points against Dungannon Swifts this afternoon.

Despite bossing possession throughout the first-half at a sun-splashed Solitude, the Reds had to wait until just after the interval before breaking the deadlock; Breen’s flying header from Chris Curran’s corner delivery powering into the net for an advantage Barry Gray’s side certainly merited.

An eye-catching Gormley strike doubled the advantage and, though Dungannon pulled one back courtesy of Chris Hegarty’s header, the Reds stood up to some late visiting pressure to earn victory.
