Super achievement

Congratulations to the four Cliftonville players who were part of the victorious County Antrim squad at this week’s SuperCupNI.

Peter McKiernan, Rian Lennon, Dylan Snodden and Adam Donnelly were among the panel that overcame American side GPS Bayern in last night’s Junior Final at The Ballymena Showgrounds.

Antrim started the competition with a 1-1 draw with Southampton and 1-0 win against County Down before sealing their place in the Semi Final with a 2-0 defeat of Strikers.

Club NI were comprehensively beaten 3-0 on Thursday to set up last night’s showdown with GPS Bayern, when strikes from Darren Hyland and Gerard Storey earned trophy success.

Everyone at Solitude commends the Antrim side on their historic success and extends further congratulations to all of the Cliftonville youngsters involved with various teams at the SuperCupNI throughout the week.
