Gerard’s marathon effort

Cliftonville Football Club are pleased to draw attention to a significant fundraising effort being undertaken by one of our supporters.

Season Ticket holder Gerard Haughey will next month run 50km from Belfast to Newcastle to raise money for four-year-old Violet Breet, who suffers from cerebral palsy.

Also born with epilepsy and cortical visual impairment, Violet faces a world that isn’t built for her but, with the right therapy, specialist equipment and a wheelchair-accessible vehicle, she can have the life she deserves – one filled with adventure, independence and hope.

The goal is to raise enough money for Violet’s family to be able to afford vital adaptions to their home in order to make Violet’s life more comfortable, and her care more manageable.
