Bangor 0-3 Cliftonville

Kyle McClelland scored his first goal for Cliftonville to set the Reds on course for victory at Bangor this afternoon.

The Scottish centre-half lashed home a sweet 17th minute volley to break the deadlock at Clandeboye Park, where summer signing Ben Quinn made it two goals in as many appearances when he pounced to make it 2-0 on the stroke of half-time.

The Reds saw a host of opportunities to extend their lead come and go after the interval, with Seasiders goalkeeper Gareth Deane making a series of smart saves to deny Rory Hale before substitute Liam McStravick bagged the strike of the game when he found the top corner from the edge of the box with just 10 minutes left on the clock.
