Our Super troupers
Cliftonville Football Club offers best wishes to all of our Academy players taking part in this week’s SuperCupNI.
Our Under-13s will commence their campaign against Al Jazira of Abu Dhabi this morning before tackling Maiden City tomorrow and Ross County on Wednesday, while a host of our young talents will be representing their counties in both the Premier and Junior sections in the coming days.
Padai O’Kane, Caoimhe Connelly, Peadraig Kelly, Lennon McCann and Conor Fitzsimmons are part of Antrim’s squad in the Premier Section, where Cillian Murray, Eoin McCann and Matthew Belshaw will be in action for Down alongside Jack Beasley turning out for Derry.
In the Junior tournament, Cliftonville’s Cuan O’Bradiagh, Keagan O’Connor, Riley McCreery, Cuan Carmichael, Ryland Perry, Taylor Magee, Anton Doras, Aiden Green and Charlie McKnight will feature for Antrim; Josh King and Owen Gilmore are with the Down set-up; Liam McAteer will play for Derry and Eoghan Fagan has been called up by Armagh.
Our Girls Academy will, meanwhile, be represented by our 2012s, who play Surf Select today, take on Crusaders in a north Belfast derby tomorrow and face Peamount United on Wednesday, while five players – Anayah Lee, Autumn Edgar, Charley McMullan, Annarose Robinson and Abigal Curley – are part of the Northern Ireland Under-16 panel for this evening’s encounter with Chicago City, tomorrow’s date with Aston Villa and Wednesday’s meeting with Shamrock Rovers.
Proud of what so many of our young stars achieved at last week’s Foyle Cup, we wish all Reds players well for what promises to be a memorable week of action on the north coast.
