Cliftonville Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Kyle McClelland.
The 24-year-old central defender originally joined the Reds on loan from Glenavon in January, but made just two appearances before suffering a broken toe that kept him sidelined for the remainder of the season.
A Northern Ireland Under-21 international who was born and raised in Glasgow, Kyle emerged through the youth ranks at Rangers before enjoying his first taste of senior action during a brief loan stint with Falkirk.
A move to Hibernian in the summer of 2022 yielded further loan switches to Cove Rangers and Queen of the South, with his first experience of the Sports Direct Premiership coming with Coleraine during the 2024/25 campaign.
He completed a move from Hibs to Glenavon ahead of last season and, following his recent departure from the Lurgan Blues, has sealed a return to Solitude, where all associated with Cliftonville FC naturally hope he enjoys greater fortune second time around.
A very warm welcome back, Kyle.
