Seven up at Seaview
Crusaders Strikers 0-7 Cliftonville Ladies
Caitlin McGuinness and Charlotte Havern both bagged braces as Cliftonville Ladies roared to a thumping North Belfast Derby victory over Crusaders Strikers this evening.
It was Kirsty McGuinness who set the ball rolling when she broke the Seaview deadlock after just five minutes and, with Fi Morgan quickly following up to double the Reds’ advantage, Brendan Lynch’s side took early control ahead of Havern making it 3-0 on the stroke of half-time.
Caitlin McGuinness (pictured) scored her first of the night 11 minutes after the interval and then added Cliftonville’s fifth as the contest entered its closing stages and, after Havern had joined her in toasting a double, an injury-time own goal from Chloe Beckinsale rounded things off.
