Kean addition
Cliftonville Football Club are very pleased to announce the signing of Jack Keaney.
The 25-year-old defender joins the Reds little more than two months after being part of the Drogheda United squad that defeated Derry City in the FAI Cup Final.
A former Republic of Ireland youth international, Donegal man Jack emerged through the ranks at Sligo Rovers, where he played under Cliftonville assistant boss Gerard Lyttle, before a four-and-a-half year spell with UCD, who handed him the captain’s armband.
After joining the Drogs at the end of 2023, he helped the Weavers Park outfit avoid relegation from the Premier Division in addition to clinching the FAI Cup and, subject to international clearance, will hope to mark his 26th birthday with a Sports Direct Premiership debut against Loughgall tomorrow.
