Sweet sixteens!
Congratulations to Cliftonville’s Under-16s, who have today added further silverware to the Solitude trophy cabinet by winning the NI Boys Football Association Cup.
The Wee Reds recorded a 3-0 victory over Glenavon during the traditional May Bank Holiday Finals Day at Lurgan Town, where two-goal Caoimhin Frith (below) claimed the Player of the Match award.
Our commiserations are, meanwhile, extended to Cliftonville Under-15s, who went down to a narrow 1-0 defeat to Dungannon Swifts in their own decider later in the day.
Both coaching teams, both sets of players and every parent involved in representing the Reds at today’s event is commended for their sterling efforts and we look forward to our Academy continuing to reap the benefits of your dedication.
