Cliftonville Football Club are very pleased to announce the signing of Ben Wilson.

The 21-year-old striker was most recently with Brighton & Hove Albion, whom he joined from Coleraine in the summer of 2018, having the previous year become the Bannsiders’ youngest ever senior goalscorer when he found the net in a North-West Cup clash with Moyola Park at the age of just 15.

A Northern Ireland Under-21 international, Wilson has been a regular for Brighton’s Under-23 side in recent seasons, featuring in a number of Premier League 2 fixtures, and Reds boss Jim Magilton is delighted to have brought the Coshquin man to Solitude, subject to international clearance.

“Ben is a player I’ve known about for a long time and, when his availability became known, I was keen to get a deal done with him,” he explained.

“He’s a pacey forward with a good eye for goal; someone who plays off the shoulder and who I think will fit very well into the style of play we want to implement at Cliftonville.”
