Contract thrillers

Cliftonville Football Club are delighted to announce details of the first ever professional contracts signed by female players at Solitude.

As the countdown to the new Women’s Premiership campaign continues, 12 of last season’s title-winning side have put pen to paper on two-year deals that represent a trailblazing milestone in the history of Ireland’s Oldest Football Club.

Academy products Fi Morgan (main image) and Toni-Leigh Finnegan have been joined in signing up by long-serving Marissa Callaghan and January recruit Vicky Carleton, the players who scored the vital goals on the night that Cliftonville Ladies clinched their first ever League crown last term.

McGuinness sisters Kirsty and Caitlin have also committed their futures to the Reds, as have Louise McDaniel, Danielle Maxwell, Abbie Magee, Kelsie Burrows, Yasmin White and Hannah Doherty.

In addition to congratulating each player on being part of this historic occasion, we also express our pleasure at seeing them extend their stays at Solitude until at least 2025.
